Summer challenge

Middle School students have been working hard to increase their language learning on Duolingo. I'm issuing a challenge to all students and parents to play DuoLingo just 10 minutes a week. I'll be sending out a summer challenge code for students to play against each other. Parents can sign up on their own. It's free to join! You can compete against your kids to see who can earn more XPs in a week.

New curriculum for MS

I have spent a lot of time researching to find a new curriculum for the school. I've consulted with other Spanish 1 teachers about what they like or don't like about the curriculum they use. In the end, I decided on a program that offers us more than just a text and workbook.

Trip to Spain

The Diocese has yet to approve the Spain trip. Despite waiting for months, we regret to inform that the window of opportunity for the Summer 2025 trip has closed. With the planning process now at such an advanced stage, the financial programs offered by EFT are no longer appealing. We appreciate your interest in the program. We hope to re-visit this opportunity in the future. Perhaps by initiating our request earlier next time, we'll have a better chance of success. If you are still interested in a trip to Spain for your student, please let me know. By working together we may be able to start sooner and plan far in advance to give the Diocese more time for approval.
